This exhibition has three pieces of arts that mainly made by theatrical light. All of the materials are from our daily life. There are shopping cart, chair, shoes, and all kinds of things that you won’t usually see in an art exhibition. Because of the materials that the artist used on his work make the exhibition more interesting and unique.
The artist’s name is Nick Bamford, Nick is major in BFA, ceramics, and he is going to be graduated this year. Nick came from Huntington Beach, he said his inspiration of the art is everything from his life. He likes to use everything he saw or experienced to create a new piece of art. He is also trying to escape from the real life by creating these psychedelic arts.
Nick said that the reason he used these kinds of materials is because they are cheap, and they are also easy to get.
I was a little confused when I first saw Nick’s works, I didn’t understand what is the message of his arts. Nick said that the feeling I had is exactly what he wants the audiences to feel. He wants audiences to interpret the meaning of the arts by themselves.
